Under the direction of Andrew Whalen, Director of Hockey, the Norfolk Alexanders are committed to developing not only players, but coaches as well.
As our program continues to grow, Andrew has been mentoring and developing coaches through The Whalen Way — a philosophy built around player development, communication, culture, accountability, and long-term success.
Throughout the Spring/Summer 2027 season, our coaching staff will work directly alongside Andrew, learning how to deliver the same standards, expectations, and development model that have become the foundation of the Norfolk Alexanders Hockey Club.
This allows our athletes to benefit from a consistent coaching experience while building a stronger future for the program.
Our developing coaches are learning too — gaining valuable experience, feedback, and mentorship so they can better serve our athletes and families in the years ahead.
